Part 2 - No Need For A Guardian
"Hmmm, wonder where he went too"
Tenchi had looked around for quite some time now and it was starting to get dark. It was hard to find one person in this big city it was like looking for a dog hair on a cat. New Gate was roughly the size of 6 New York’s so it mite take some time.
"Hey Kechii you found him yet? Over" Tenchi said into the walky talky.
"Nope sorry, but I found a girl who wants to have sex with me. Over".
"Um...Good for you, but if it’s not Jin I don't care. Over".
A woman’s voice came on the WT (walky talky).
"You will care when I’ll be sucking you’re...”
"OK! Over and out!!"
Tenchi quickly turned off the WT and sighed. If he wanted to look at naked women he'd go on the net. Tenchi decided to forget the search and go to the city gates and think for a while. He held his hand up and called for a taxi flyer
"Where do you want to go today?”
"Gates please". Tenchi said, relaxing in the seat of the taxi.
A few minutes later the taxi stopped at the Gates.
"That’ll be $12.50 please".
Tenchi handed over his ID card and waited. A new age of technology maybe advance but some times it was too damn slow
"Thank you...” the driver paused "Tenchi Misaki, you now have $5,000,000,000,040 in your account, have a nice day".
Tenchi got out of the taxi and it flew away at high speeds. He walked up to the top so he could sit and think without the hustle and bustle of crowds. Out side the city there wasn’t much too look at because of what happened 9 years ago. mankind had just finished at prototype mech which would help with any one outside that tried to get in without a ID and pass cause it was already way too full .the mech was sent out and did its job with flying colours. But after a few months it went wrong and planted it self in the ground like a seed. its wires grew and grew and soon the green fields turned into fields of wires and metals tentacles and who ever tried to cross it would be taken down under the mass before you could say "bye". But unfortunately Jin’s dad was the maker and was out in the field working the monster mech and it consumed him up. His mother went insane with grief and killed her self. Jin’s mom and dad were always so much in love that it broke the family apart when his dad died. After that Jin was never right and thought that love, trust, friendship, happiness were a weakness and what ever that was weak needed to be killed. He died he hair black and wore a mask to hide the shame of his father’s stupidity and only talked when it was right. Tenchi walked up and out into the cool breeze and moon lit sky
"Where are you old friend?” He said with a hurt voice
Tenchi heard someone talking somewhere along the top of the Gate, he thought it was a couple making out under the moonlight or just some old homeless man talking to him self but he'd take a look any way. When he continued onward he saw a dark shadow sitting on the edge of the Gate. When Tenchi got closer he saw it wasn’t a couple making out or a homeless guy it was Jin. Tenchi turned on the WT and said
"Hey Kechii, I found him, you can stop now, over"
There was no reply. It was just like Kechii to stop looking and he probably never did looked at the beginning, Tenchi approached that shadowy figure and managed to say
"Hello?"
The shadowy figure turned its face. It was indeed Jin
"Hello, am I needed again?”
"Are you pissed because you didn’t get any money?” Tenchi said sitting down next to Jin.
"What would I need money for?”
"I don’t know...food, water, girls, beer, and weapons".
He sighed and a small animal jumped up on his shoulder.
"What the hell is that!?”
"Huh? He’s a ferret, name is Echidna". Jin said tearing a piece of rice ball apart and giving it to Echidna.
"Where’d you find him?”
"9 years ago, before it happened, I was out side eating lunch and he stole some of my food, I caught him in the end and was going to smash his head in with a rock. But being a child I couldn't". He said petting the ferret and giving it more rice ball
"You couldn't what? Find a rock?”
"No! I couldn’t kill him".
"I don’t get it, you can kill people and chop off their heads but you can’t kill a small animal?”
"Animals and people are different. Animals don’t invent things to kill. People do. Animals don’t waste their life doing the same thing every day. People do. Animals don’t make and brake promises. People do. The list is endless. Plus he's the only one I can trust".
"But why can’t you trust me? We’ve been friend since we were 5...i think".
"All the more reason to back stab me"
"What? Backstab you? I would never!”
"Yeah... Right... and what are you going to do with the reward money?
"I don’t know...I haven’t spent it yet...I’ve been looking for you".
"Why? It’s not like you care". Jin said finishing the rice ball and watching Echidna go to sleep in his lap.
"But I do care, I always have".
"Right" Jin quickly snubbed.
"What the hell did I do to make you hate me so much?”
"You never comforted when my dad died...you just stayed away like you'd done some thing wrong".
Tenchi came out of anger mode and went into "uh-oh, I’ve messed up" mode. He never did comfort Jin cause he didn’t know how or what to say. There was a moment of silence.
"I’m. Sorry Jin. I wanted to but I didn’t know if I was going to make it worse. I saw you out of the house and how people said they were sorry. I am sorry now Jin for your loss, both times".
"All I needed is a friend, not some one who was going to say sorry or hug me, just a friend, and you were never there, you have no idea of the pain I want threw after she died" said Jin taking off his mask.
"Look, hate me if you want but I wanna know one thing" Tenchi said while Jin was putting Echidna to bed.
"What’s that?" Jin whispered try not to wake Echidna.
"Why did you stay with me? Why didn't you just forget me?”
"How could I? Apart from the family death thing you were always there for me. I knew you staying away from me weren’t because you hated me. But when I tried to talk, you just ran away or came up with an excuse, so I figured I’d try a different approach, first it was gifts then yelling then calm then ignoring, finely I gave up and decided that if I cant be your friend I’d protect you from harm and not see another one close to me die" Jin said wiping the tears away.
"I even tried to seduce you because I saw a woman on TV do it and the man and her were friends again" chuckled Jin.
"Oh, so that’s why you did that" Tenchi smiled "and to think. It took me this long to work it all out, how about we try again now I know how you feel and every thing, what cha say?”
Jin pondered it for a while and finely held his hand up in an arm wrestling position "deal" and they shook on it.
MEANWHILE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF TOWN.
"YOU’RE A WHAT!?" Kechii said with all the surprizement in the world.
"I’m a space demon, so? What’s your problem? Don’t you like the way I look?" said the woman.
"Oh no it’s not that. It’s just that...” he was cut off by her taking her loose tank top off.
"That...that...that...you have nice boobs" he was lost for words and that was the only thing IN his mind.
"Why thank you. Now lets see what you've got" she slid down to his crotch and groped "mmmm, all this for me?”
"Err...miss?”
"Hmm?”
"What’s your name?”
"My name? It’s Ryoko Hakubi, Daughter to the world’s greatest genius. Washu Hakubi".
"Um...Ok I don’t know who she is but I’ll say I do"
"Be quiet, too much talk and not enough action makes Ryoko a dull girl, how about you liven me up a little" she said licking her lips.
