The Jin Chronicles
Part 3 – No Need For Plans
It’s early in the morning (about 10 to 6); every one was still awake apart from Jin who was up most of the night thinking about what to do next.
“What the hell happens now? Maybe I should get out of this town and find some where else”
Just as Jin finished thinking Kechii came into the kitchen where Jin had been most of the night.
“Hey Jin, why the long face?” Kechii said looking for some thing to eat
“I’m thinking about what I should do now, I’m think I should get out of town and find some where else”
“Where else is there to go? Plus these no way out of this town, remember?” Kechii now putting bread into the toaster
“Its easy to get threw the gates, plus I heard that where were other towns apart from this one believe it or not” Jin said, getting up from the table
Jin walked to the front room to think with out any one interrupting him; he sat down on the sofa and pulled his knees up to his face.
“When I’ve had breakfast I’ll go ask around if any one knows about the other towns, and I’ll go to the weaponry shop to see if they—“ just then his thoughts were blown away by a woman barely dressed looking at him, he knew this woman from some where but where? He tried to cast his mind back to see if he could, she continued looking at him like he had a second head or some thing, just then he struck gold and remembered her “she’s Ryoko, one of the criminals I was hunting” he thought
He turned his head back to where it was before looking at her and simply nodded and said “Ryoko” she stood in shock and finely walked up to him, she gave him a stern look and drew a energy sword from out of thin air and held it to his head
“What the fuck are you doing here? How did you know I was here?”
“Erm.. I live here.. What are you doing here?” now looking past her sword
“Having sex with your flat mate, or is he your boyfriend?” Ryoko’s sword faded away and she started to giggle
“No he’s a friend of a friend, nothing to do with me” Jin plainly stated, he got up and stood a few inches from the black haired woman
“This is the bit where you kill me right?” Ryoko sadly said as she clenched her fists waiting for the pain, Jin put his hand on her face and said
“No Ryoko I’m not going to kill” his hand fell to his side “you win Ryoko, I’m sorry” she was shocked again, she been in battle against him lots of times and he’d never given up even when out numbered, “this has to be a trick, he’s bluffing, well I’ll show him” she drew her sword again and held it to his head
“Is that what you really want Ryoko? You hate me that much?”
“Of course you fool, now prepare to do battle” Jin just sat there looking at her
“Well? Come on, its fight time you can hurt me again, you love that”
“Love hurting you? No, I don’t but if you must kill me make it quick, I don’t deserve pain”
“This is not like him, he loves killing, me most of all” she thought to herself now unsure what to do, she smelled toast on the go and her stomach made noises “ooh I’m hungry, but if I let him go now he’ll probably kill me while I’m eating” she thought
Jin smiled “go on Ryoko, go have breakfast I’ll be here when you get back, I’m waiting for a friend to wake up any way, he’ll sleep till noon” he took great pride in called some one besides Echidna a friend.
“Well I don’t know”
“What’s the matter, not hungry?” her stomach growled again “your stomach tells no lies, any way it’s free”
Her face lit up “FREE! Why didn’t you say so” before she could threaten any more she ran off to the kitchen
IN THE KITCHEN
Kechii was whistling to a tune of the radio and getting some jam out of the fridge and when he turned round his toast was gone and Ryoko was eat some thing
“Err.. Oh by the way please eat my toast, too late, never mind” he smiled “want more?” she shook her head wanting him to hurry up
40 MINUTES LATER
“Ah, much better, thanks” she kissed his cheek and went into the front room
“Ok now she’s fed and happy (more then I can say about last night) I can..” he paused “get more bread”
IN THE FRONT ROOM
Ryoko walked in happy but knowing it won’t last cause Jin probably would spoil her mood, but to her surprise he was sitting where she’d left him apart from he was lying on the sofa now “ooo the pray cant resist to be killed” she thought gripping her energy dagger out of thin air, in a blink of a eye she jumped up and leapt onto him with force stopping centimetres from his head “I cant kill him this way, its too dam easy” she thought, frozen in her position
“Hey Ryoko, I see you’ve got me in a disposition”
“Uh–huh, what cha gonna do now, huh?”
“Well since your where you are I think I’ll take advantage” Jin quickly grabbed Ryoko’s breast a gave it a squeeze, her eyes shot open and then softened
“Well if you do that I’ll counter and do this” Ryoko’s energy dagger faded away and she reached down and groped him
“Ooo very good Miss Hakubi, I see you’ve learnt a few things in your travels, but now isn’t the time” he managed to get out of the of the position, Jin wrote some down on a sticky and stuck it onto the inside of Tenchi’s door
“Bye Ryoko, have fun with the boys” Jin said walking out the door grabbing his back pack on the way out
“Boys?” Ryoko managed to say before falling off the sofa
OUTSIDE
It was a nice day compared to the ones before it, the only problem was the dark clouds hovering over the far side of town. Jin put his shirt hood up and walked down the steps, the streets were quite for this time of day probably cause they rain clouds were coming “well I guess I’ll go to The Shop since every one is indoors today” The Shop was a place where weapons, armor, healing stuff, and any thing else unholy were sold.
The doorbell sounded as Jin entered The Shop, it wasn’t too crowded which was strange for a Friday morning.
“Hey Pete, Shops kinda empty today, where is every one?”
“Gone to the palace, King wants new men for his army, rumour has it the town is gonna be attacked week after next” Pete said finishing off a sword he was making
“Really? How cool, I’ll like to see them get over the mass, any way got any new stuff today?”
“Well I dunno if I should tell you about this" Pete stopped and fingered his beard "but since you’re a good friend and customer I’ll show it to you”
He pulled out a box labelled “2KPH34R” on it; he opened it up and inside was a pair of hefty bracers with 2 katanas attached
“These were a export from North Gate, some guy sold ‘em to me but I’ll sell then for no more then $2,000,0” Pete said staring at Jin trying to brainwash him with “give me money and buy my stuff”
Jin pulled out Tenchi’s ID card and gave it to Pete, moments later Pete came back
“Well that’s all done, do you want paper or plastic?”
“No thanks Pete I’ll just wear then out, so how did they do work?” Jin put them on and felt a prick in the side of his wrists
“OW! Damn it, what did I do? Was it meant to do that?”
“Yes, that prick went into one of your nerves, as long as you don’t brake your wrist then it will feel like nothing was there”
“And why did some thing just attach it self to my wrist nerve?”
“Just think about the katana in you hands and they will be, the pulse sent by you brain will travel down to your wrists and move the blades, very simple”
“Erm ok then, by the way do you know any thing about other towns?”
“Yup there are 4 cities to each direction North, South, East, West, and there are a few villages dotted over the world, so many that no one has ever been to them all"
“Really?” Pete nodded “ Kick ass, thanks Pete, see ya”
“Good Day” Pete returned to his work as Jin left The Shop
With Jin's new info he didn’t know where to go, but he did know he’d made up his mind “I’ll travel, and help people on the way, we’ve got enough money, I just need the people power, what the hell am I saying, I don’t need any one, but I guess I could ask, I cant just resolve a dying friendship then leave, Right I’ll ask if Tenchi and Kechii if they wanna come,” Jin finished with that last gross thought and went back home
AT THE HOUSE
“Come on Tenchi, I need to show you some thing in the bed room, I promise I wont hurt you (much)” Tenchi had woken up with a strange women in the house wanting to show him some thing in the bed room, and he hoped it wasnt about the wallpaper
“What do you want to show me Ryoko?” Kechii had introduced them when Tenchi came down for breakfast and to see where Jin was (being half asleep he didn’t see the note on the door)
“I can’t tell you, you have to see it for your self, it'll be great I promise”
“Well I don’t know, you sure you wont hurt me?”
“Of course not silly, now come on” She pulled him from the table and across the front room into the downstairs bedroom (Tenchi’s room)
“Ok, so what did you want to show me?”
“This” she dropped he bath robe and was nude “so what do you think?”
“You have a very beautiful body Ryoko” Tenchi swallowed hard
“Well yet me show you what it can do” she got up close to him and slid he hand cross his groin, his nose started to bleed
“Hello! Any one home! ?” A voice
“Don’t say a thing, its only him” Ryoko said like the owners like was going to come in and kill her
“Its Jin! Any one home?!”
Tenchi was about to shout but Ryoko pushed him and to the floor with a thud and pinned him
“Forget about him and have fun”
“How can I have fun when your pinning me down!” Tenchi tried to get and but instead shouted, “Jin I’m in the bed room and some girl is pinning me down!! HELP?” Jin rushed in, kantans at the ready but what Jin saw wasn’t shocking, he sighed and put his weapons away
“Why are you complaining you have Ryoko on top of you, be a man and have sex with her, oh yeah I need to ask you and Kechii some thing, when your finished and see him tell him to meet in the front room, k?”
Tenchi got away from Ryoko and ran to Jin’s side
“Kechii went out, dunno when he’ll be back, what did you want to ask me?”
“Well I was gonna tell you I’m leaving and getting out of this shit town and was gonna ask if you wanna come along, yes, no?”
“Sure Jin, I’d follow you to hell if I had to, so in other words HELL YEAH!”
“I’m coming too,” Ryoko said putting the bathrobe on
“Did I invite you Ryoko?” Jin said sharply
“No but I’m making sure you don’t get Tenchi killed”
“Why would you care?” Tenchi came out with
“Cause I like you Tenchi” a blushing Ryoko said
“I like you too but it doesn’t mean I want to fuck you”
“I don’t want to fuck you, I want to be yours”
“Well I dunno, what do you say Jin?”
Jin didn’t answer for a while
“She’s coming with us, she maybe a criminal but she a good fighter,” Jin said, hating what he just said
“Thanks Jin”
“No problem, well its all settled tomorrow were going exploring”
“Exploring! That’s so boring” Ryoko moaned
“You get to kill people and blow up stuff”
“Really? Kick ass, I’m in”.
